Happy Birthday, now leave my table and champagne alone...

Bar Rouge is Five years old. Rejoice. Not many bars or clubs can claim that they have lasted five years in Shanghai's here-one-week-gone-the-next merry-go-round of bar openings and closings. And doing it down on the Bund deserves an extra pat on the back as it ain't cheap...

You've all been there at some point. Either you've been, stood at the bar and had to wait for a drink until the barman has stopped setting the bar on fire, then proclaimed you're never going again, then you go again the next week when your mate is in town who you are trying to impress... or, you love the place, the swanky suits, the French, the Russian 'models' and so on and so forth. 

So Bar Rouge figured they'd throw a week long party to celebrate. Why not. Having kicked off last weekend, it's the next four days where it is cranking it up to level sharp-suit-and-sparkler-in-champagne standards:

Wednesday: Funkytown with DJ Goldfinger
Funky Town with DJ Goldfinger + MC Wlad. Get funky then. It's RMB 50 on the door.

Thursday: SMS Party
The comeback of the Shanghai Music Society with loads of your favorite local DJs heading down like Damien Kay, Kluba, The Horses (Clemont Pony & Laura Ingall), Phillip Ortega, Wassili, Xeum, Paul Cayrol, Dave K, Jasmin Lee and Edouard de belamour. And it's free.

Friday: Benny Benassi
Big time Italian DJ and producer returns to Shanghai. He's a big time player that is guaranteed to get you going. Tickets are big time too. In advance they're RMB 200, on the door they are RMB 300...

Saturday: BR Genuine
You've had the big name international DJ on the Friday, now this is the big party to celebrate the last five years with a whole host of surprise DJs, performances and a big Bar Rouge love fest. RMB 100 gets you in to the madness.
