We all know that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but what about Alexandrite or Pink Sapphires? Steamy flings, perhaps?

Well ladies, prepare to get better acquainted with these unusual members of the gem family in Yves Lemay’s Jewelry and Gemology seminar this Sunday.

Hosted by Master Jeweler, Yves Lemay, in cooperation with Eternity Fitness Retreat, the seminar aims to cover the less unknown types of gems and jewelry pieces such as Charoite and Purple Gold.

“This seminar targets the more unusual, the gold alloy that nobody knows about like purple gold, most people don’t know that you can get these types of stones” says Lemay.

This two-hour seminar will cover essential knowledge and tips for the classics like diamonds to the properties of the new movers and shakers in the jewelry world such as opals.

Though promising to bring plenty of bling, the seminar is targeting both jewelry aficionados and newcomers alike.

“Some attending will be jewelry enthusiasts, but most people will be normal people wanting to learn more about the gems and jewelry types” says Lemay.

With the festive season fast approaching, Lemay says that anybody planning on buying jewelry and gemstones for loved ones should have a sound knowledge on the type of stones they are purchasing.

“Most people will buy jewelry at some point in their lives, but many people don’t know what they are actually buying, seminars like these provide a solution, it is important to know what you buy”.

Yves Lemay’s Jewelry and Gemology Seminar will be held at 3F Yuyao Rd, Jingan (near Xikang rd), December 6,  6:30 to 9:00pm

Tickets are 175 RMB (150 for Eternity’s members) with 25 seats available.

 Attendees will receive free cup cakes and wine and 1 free class at eternity fitness.
