Written by JFK Miller

As from today, the third tranche of Expo tickets will be on sale. This will be the last batch of tickets available for purchase prior to the Expo opening on May 1. The prices:

1-day ticket: RMB160

3-day ticket: RMB400

7-day ticket: RMB900

All prices have risen from the two previous Expo ticket offerings when some 12 million tickets were bought.

During the first phase of ticket sales that began in March, a standard 1-day ticket cost RMB130. This rose to RMB140 during the second sales phase between July 1 and December 31.

Expo organizers have set a target of 70 million tickets in order to become the most-visited World Expo in history. The 1970 Osaka Expo holds the current record of 64 million visitors.
