Fed up of flicking through racks of itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny swimwear? Sick of trying on bikinis only to find there’s something resembling a sizable chunk of mattress sewn into the cups? Fear not, girlfriend. We’ve trawled the shops to bring you the sexiest plus-sized swimwear in town ahead of the Mumm Pool Party this weekend. Slip into one of these numbers, slide on the lotion and get ready to sizzle…

1. Demure one-pieces
UK chain store Next has a wide selection of swimwear that goes up to a US size 16, with prices around the RMB250 mark. Many of the styles are designed to accentuate curves, but we liked this elegant one-piece the best. It features a delicate neck strap (all the bust support is built into the cups) and the back has a chic knot tie.

2. Kick-ass two-pieces

Fot a more funky poolside look, try H&M’s bikini range, which includes some great tankinis for anyone who’s not too keen on getting their tummy out. They’ve got some loud animal prints if you’re feeling extroverted, but we picked out this rather cheeky vintage-style two piece. The high waist and chunky buttons are flattering and stylish, and wearing it will transport you straight back in time to a windy English seaside. It comes in sizes up to US12. Expect to pay between RMB99 to RMB200.

3.Glamorous bikinis
Everyone’s talking about French brand JOG’s bikinis, designed by a former synchronized swimmer. Simple, strong designs go up to US size 14. All pieces are made of microfiber, which gives a soft, comfortable ‘second skin’ feeling.  Our favorite is this bold turquoise bikini with a cute sequin trim, which also comes in black and pink.
