She uses romantic fabrics such as velvet, silk and satin and with the underwear range she is releasing other accessories such as slippers, gowns, bows and a pillow design. “Rykiel style is more than fashion, it is a lifestyle. It is a very French elegance, but more than that it is very Parisian, and even more than that it is very Left Bank,” says Nathalie Rykiel, president and artistic director of Sonia Rykiel. “It is the incarnation of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés woman. With this lingerie collection, the house’s signature chic and seduction is available for all women.” Rykiel is the first lingerie designer to have ever done a guest collection for H&M and it will be launched on the 5th December this month, worldwide. Prices range from RMB 79.90 for thong underwear to RMB 299 for a rosette brassiere or fitted teddy; high-fashion items such as a full-length asymmetrical velvet dressing gown are priced at RMB 999; the silk kimono peignoir from RMB599 to RMB799, full-length nightgown at RMB799 and tuxedo jacket will retail for RMB 999; matching velvet tuxedo pants are priced at RMB 599.
